Since the 1st century AD when Rome founded BEGASTRUM, which went on to become BEGASTRI in the Visigoth era in the 5th century AD and up until today, CEHEGÍN has always been a wine-making region – and numerous traces still remain to attest to that fact. The vines have made up part of history, marking the character and customs of the place. These high lands located in north-western Murcia at between 600 and 1000 metres above sea level enjoy sunny, dry, hot summers, rainy springs and autumns and cold winters with brief snows. These conditions provide the ideal setting for grape cultivation and the production of dry, flavourful and aromatic red wines.

The winery and vineyards of BODEGAS BEGASTRI are located in this exceptional place, in the area of Cañada de Canara, Cehegín, Murcia. The vineyards are located on a south-westerly facing hillside on calcareous soil that provides high quality and extraordinary flavours for the production of our SINEDIE wine.

ORGANIC production is our raison to be, the premise from which we have always worked – from the cultivation of the vines to the production of our wine to the protection of our surroundings. The result is SINEDIE; a high-end organic wine produced using technologically advanced methods in which the purity of the product is maintained throughout the vinification process to obtain a dry, rich, fragrant, aromatic wine to accompany all types of stews and red meats.
